Data sources: loading and unloading data

This page will cover the process of loading and removing data from your Glex session.

Your selection of loaded data will carry over from session to session and be loaded on start-up. To protect potentially sensitive information, no data is stored on your machine.

 Instructions

When you open Glex, you will be prompted with the status:Data source menu, you can disable this in the bottom right corner. If you want to find it again later, it is located under status:File ⇒ Data sources.

To load a data source hover over it with your cursor and click the status:+ load option, this will turn into a status:x remove option if it is already loaded.

Data sources can be filtered by source, data type and creator.

Data sources are divided into layers, these can be loaded individually from the status:Data sources menu, or they can be enabled and disabled in the status:layers window (for more information see Layers)

Data sources themselves are created using a selection of sources, the status:NCS Licences for example is created using several spreadsheets and coordinate sets provided by NPD, to get more information on each data source click on the information icon.
