Organization

The layers window displays a list of the data sources loaded, the data is divided into layers which can be viewed by clicking the arrow next to the data source name. In order to load additional or remove layers, see Data sources: loading and unloading data, but if you wish to disable the data temporarily, you can click on the data source’s or layer’s icon.

It is possible to reorder the layers. The order in the list is what determines what will be displayed on top in the map.

Appearance

Loaded data sources will appear in the

Status
titleLayers
window. The data sources in this window can be expanded to show the layers.

  • Labels

    • Toggles whether labels/nametags are shown on map.

  • Label size

    • Changes the font size of the labels.

  • Clusters (point data only)

    • Toggles whether clusters are used for wells. Clusters collect several wells into a single point to reduce the number of object on the screen.

  • Fill and outline

    • Changes the way objects are displayed; outline, fill, or both.

  • Line thickness

    • Changes the line thickness of an objects outline if this is part of the selected style.

  • Layer zoom range

    • Determines the zoom level at which the objects will be displayed on the map. You can use the “statistics” widget to get a feel for the current zoom level of the map.

  • Label zoom range

    • Determines the zoom level at which the labels will be displayed.

  • Color scheme

    • Colors the objects based on preset categories.

  • Tints

    • Changes the level of grayscale.

    • Changes the opacity of a layer.

You can rearrange the data on the screen by rearranging the data sources in the layers window, their order will determine what is displayed on top in the map.
