Summary:
The Glex Energy 3.4.0 release introduces several new and improved features to exploration and business development workflows, including screening economic analysis and ownership management as well as improved prospect inventory and APA support. In addition, we have made several improvements to performance across the platform.
New features:
Portfolio view:
NPV a.t. calculator with user-input discount rate allowing value comparison of assets, profiles and portfolio scenarios, based on imported cash-flow data
New way to select ownership for assets based on prioritisation of Ownership sets, editable in the new Ownership editor (see below)
Ownership for profiles attached to prospects handled the same as fields and discoveries
Support for the new RNB 2026 Excel format for importing production and cost profiles (NCS)
Support for import of new data attributes in the production profile import (Water, EXPEX, ABEX) - (to be used in the Portfolio view in later versions)
Prospect inventory:
Added the ability to copy prospects from a source (including public sources) to a user-owned source
Prospects assigned to licences or application areas inherit ownership for profile plotting
APA licence application:
Participants list automatically generates ownership data
Ownership editor:
New Ownership editor where users can create and edit custom ownership sets for assets which can be applied in the Portfolio view, together with official and analyst ownership data. This feature allows correction or update of imported data as well as analysis based on hypothetical ownership to model M&A deals.
Fields, discoveries and prospects now inherit their ownership model (licensees) from their license, application area or BAA parent.

Modal retains contents when closed and reopened within a session

Improved the look and feel of the color legend with large numbers of attributes

Installer
Updated the auto-installer with an improved UI and a better installation process. It now downloads the regular installer and installs Glex Energy in the usual way. The installation process still requires admin privileges.

We have improved functionality and user interface related to permission handling. Permissions are now more accessible and easier to use. It’s now possible to view permissions for assets/data where you only have view permission (e.g. see which of your colleagues has Admin permissions to the data).
Import window:
We have expanded the functionality and improved the user experience of the import window. You can now import Shapefiles (prospect, application areas), surfaces, documents and production profiles through the import window. The summary screen has been improved.
Filter editor:
Some smaller improvements to the user experience of the filter editor.

Surfaces/horizons:
Surfaces can now be imported and visualized in Glex Energy, through an import window inside the app, through the API, or through a data connector. The following input formats are supported: XYZ (ascii), GeoTiff, Z Map.
Visual properties of the surfces can be modified in real time in the app, including color values/color gradients, hillshading properties and depth steps. Contouring will be implemented in patch 2.6.1.

Users can now change the size of point objects in the map (well symbols, facilities, corals, wind mills, etc.) from layers settings.
