  1. GLEX Map Object Overview

Geospatial map data in GLEX are organised into Data Sources, Layers and Objects. Where each individual polygon or shape is an Object, which consists of coordinates describing the shape and associated metadata.

Objects are organised into Layers.

Layers are organised into Data Sources.

Layers are organised into separated into various categories, which are summarized below.

2. Moving an object between Layers

Moving Objects can be done from one Layer to another within a common Data Source or between Layers in different Data Sources.

a) Moving within same Data Source

b) Moving to another Data Source

3) Workflow

Moving an Object between layers is carried out in the Inspector Window and requires that the destination layer is of the same category as the original. For example you cannot move a prospect object to a structural elements layer
