How to create prospects in Glex
If you have a prospect and want to edit the metadata, see:
How to Edit, Export and Import Prospect Parameters.
If you already have a .shp , .json or .Geojson file of the prospect, it can be imported to Glex by following the steps detailed in the How to Import Prospect and Lead Shapefiles article.
Instructions
In this article we will go through the creation of prospects in Glex.
There are several ways to create the polygon for the prospect:
Drawing freehand
Drawing by clicking
Entering coordinates one by one
In order to initiate all of these methods you have to select the “draw” tool in the toolbar. If the toolbar is not on your screen you can enable it under widgets ⇒ tools.
From the toolbar select the pencil icon and select your preferred type of drawing. Drag drawing will generate a large number of data points to create a smooth line, while click drawing adds a point every time you click, you can exit click drawing by double clicking (this creates a final point) or clicking esc.
In order to create a polygon through coordinates you must first create a polygon with a couple of points. You can then edit coordinates of the points. Double click the polygon. In the top right corner a coordinate drop-down will appear where you can edit coordinates of the polygon.
In the edit menu it is also possible to change the name of the polygon.
The polygons are saved with the Not set data type and can be found in the inspector Windows ⇒ inspector. From here it is possible to add it to the appropriate layer by clicking on the ≡ symbol and selecting save to cloud. This will open an import window (detailed in further detail in the How to Import Prospect and Lead Shapefiles article) where you can select what the polygon represents and in what layer to store it.
The new layers are accessible my the whole company as default.
In order to add the prospect data to the polygon, through the NPD prospect form, find the prospect in the inspector window or double click it on the map. The NPD form is located under view and edit data and attachments can be uploaded using the paperclip icon. For a more detailed guide on adding metadata, see How to Edit, Export and Import Prospect Parameters.
